THE COURSE

Skills Developed:

This course is designed to encourage each individual to pursue their own line of enquiry into various genres in fashion and art. It encourages the development of research methods and documentary techniques and will equip students with practical skills required for further and higher education and a wide range of careers. Pupils will develop skills with a wide range of materials, using a vast array of techniques.

WHAT YOU WILL STUDY

Two units of work consisting of teacher led projects and one externally set exam.

These are based on projects introducing a diverse range of textile techniques and materials.


Major Projects  – ASSESSMENT

Unit 1: Portfolio of work – Teacher led projects. 60%

Unit 2: Externally set exam – Personal project chosen by the student. 40%

 

All components of coursework will be set and marked by your art teachers out of 96, then externally verified by a moderator.
