Denton Community College will be a 1,350 mixed, 11-16 high school with joint specialist status in Performing Arts and Sport underpinned by the very highest standards of learning and teaching.

It will provide a happy confident and successful learning community where everyone is valued and challenged to achieve their personal best. The specialisms will have a major role to play in realising this ambition. They will help our students develop the personal skills of self-respect, personal esteem, self-reliance, teamwork, and adaptability and self confidence. As a result they will learn effectively and make the very best use of the opportunities our learning community will offer.

Denton Community College opens in September 2010 and will have a brand new building scheduled to be ready for September 2011. This provides a unique opportunity and we are delighted that the Governing Body and Tameside Council are determined to ensure that the new building will be outstanding both in terms of its design and the facilities it offers the community it serves. But more importantly, that it will provide life changing opportunities for the young people who attend the school ensuring that they achieve all that they are capable of, both academically and socially.
