The Lead Teacher for Science is Guy Meaburn.

Guy and his team aim to help improve DCC students' learning by:

• offering a variety of Science courses at KS3 to provide relevant personalised pathways at KS4.

• using teaching methods such as Impact starters and KAYGEN to capture the imagination of the students, enthuse and develop learning styles.

• continuation of WIKID Science thematic approach (year 8/9) designed at providing relevance and integrating a variety of learning styles.

• sharing expertise in Thematic teaching in writing and delivery of the Thematic curriculum.

Guy has a Bachelor Of Science in Applied Science Hons from Leeds University and also a PGCE in Science from Manchester University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching football, cycling and hiking. He likes to relax by watching films, reading books and listening to music. He also has a hidden talent in cooking!
