The Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Specialisms is Greg Rule.

Through the Specialisms of Performing Arts and Sport, Greg wants to ensure that Denton Community College is seen as an outward-facing centre of excellence contributing to developments at a regional and national level. Greg sees the Specialisms driving whole-school improvement and developing a distinct ethos of continual improvement and success within the College. Through the Specialisms, stakeholders will work with partner schools, extended services and community groups to develop greater cohesion and improve outcomes for young people within the wider community.

Greg has a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Imperial College at the University of London, together with a PGCE in Science from the University of Manchester. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University, a MA in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University and has successfully completed the NPQH qualifications.

In his spare time, Greg enjoys powerboating with his wife and three children. When not riding the rapids, he likes to relax by lying on a beach or by a pool in a very hot country.
