GCSE Science A provides the opportunity to further develop:
GCSE Science A has an emphasis on scientific literacy – the knowledge and understanding that learners need to recognise the impact of science and technology on everyday life.
If covered in one year GCSE Science A provides distinctive and relevant experience for students who wish to progress to either the GCSE Additional Science course.
GCSE Science A can be covered over two years for students who progress at a slower rate.

Assessed by teachers, internally standardised & externally moderated by the exam board.
